Among Mabey's works are the heraldic shields on the Crescent frieze; the caskets, torches and other details round the various ceremonial entrances to the building; a full-scale model of the main cornice; and models for the treatment of various elements in the Council Chamber. His finest carvings are situated above the Members' Entrance, Westminster Bridge Road, in the Members' Courtyard, over the doorway to the Members' Terrace and the heraldic panels on the Crescent frieze.

Workplace for Alfred Frank Hardiman
1925 (Circa) - 1927 (Circa)
After Hardiman returned from Rome in 1924 he was commissioned to carve two figure groups for pavilions on the north end of County Hall, London. This continued a sculptural scheme awarded to Ernest Cole in 1915 but terminated in 1921 after disagreements with the architect, Ralph Knott. Hardiman completed four groups: recreation; town planning; child education; and care of the sick. The date of completion is uncertain and may have been as late as 1930. (Information from Hardiman's file at the British School at Rome and County Hall (1991), pp. 57-69)
