Henry arrived from Munich in 1850. He was the son of the sculptor, Joseph Ernest von Bandel who worked in London c.1852-3. Henry was living in Stanhope Street in St Pancras at the time of his marriage to Sarah Stone (daughter of a butcher) in 1855. He died between October and December 1864.
