Born in Patricroft, Manchester. He was the son of Henry Miller (born c.1845 in Ardwick, Lancashire), shipping merchant buyer in 1891. Harry is presumed to have served his apprenticeship with Earp, Hobbs & Miller, the firm of architectural sculptors that he joined as a partner c.1900. He may have died in Manchester in 1951.
