Sculptor
He studied at the Royal College of Art before 1911-12. Reid saw active service in the First World war. Afterwards he became Teacher of Modelling and Sculpture at Armstrong College, University of Durham (1920) and three years later was made Master of Sculpture. By 1927 he had been appointed Master of Design at the School of Art, West Ham, London.
Reid executed four war memorials between 1920-24: Newcastle Exchange; West Pelton Durham; North Shields; and Newcastle 6th Northumberland Fusiliers. He died in Hastings.
