Born in Hanley, Staffordshire. He taught modelling at the Polytechnic School of Art, Regent Street and the South London Technical School of Art in Kennington. Wright may have died in 1902, he had certainly passed away before 1911 because his wife was still living at 32 Salcott Road and was described as a widow.
