Listed as the elder son of James Wyon (1804-1868) and worked as a Die Sinker under Benjamin Wyon (1803-1858). Forrer notes that the artist's signature appears on two versions of a medal produced for the Licensed Victuallers' School, 1856. Forrer gives W. J.
