Listed as a painter and medal designer. Lived in Edinburgh from 1830, and in London from 1835. Designer of coins including the florin (in use in 1902), 'originally intended for a Four-Shilling piece', and the 'Reverses [sic] of several of the Art-Union medals'. See Forrer, vol. 1, (1902), p. 489. Forrer lists various sources including Redgrave's 'Dictionary of Artists' and the 'Art Journal' (1860) [summary].
