Born in Northfield, Birmingham (possibly part of Warwickshire at that date). Died in Grasmere, Cumbria (Westmorland). A cigarette case with a design of elephants in enamel was purchased for the Collection of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in 1937. Muriel Meats registered her maker's mark in Birmingham.
