Studied at Stoke School of Design from 1849. Painter of figure subjects at Mintons until 1875 where Elliott, 'Potters' (2004) records his annual salary from the Minton's Salaries Book as £160. Art Director, Josiah Wedgwood and Sons Ltd. 1875-1905. [see Haggar (1953), p. 37]
