First appointed as 'Teacher of the Enamelling Class' at the Metropolitan School of Art, Dublin in October 1903, at a salary of 3 guineas per week, as per letter of appointment in NCAD Reports and Minutes Folder, file no. 31.
Re-appointed to same position in 1904, under same terms. For the 1905-06 session, Reeves was re-appointed as teacher of enamelling class and a class in metalwork was also assigned to him. His enamelling classes were to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 1pm and Tuesdays , Thursdays and Fridays 7-9pm. Metal work class to meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-4pm and Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9pm. Remuneration of 5-0-0 per week. Re-appointed to same as above, with copies of re-appointment letters to 1919. Reeves was awarded a 'War Bonus' from Jan. 1st 1917 at the rates approved for 'unestablished whole-time officers'. The arrears of bonus to June 30th 1919, amounting to 91-18-1 to be paid with salary in Jun 1919.
Appointed Second Master at the school dating from April 1919. National College of Art, Director's Report for 1937-38, p. 3, states that Reeves, 'whose service as Second Master has been extended temporarily beyond the prescribed age limit, retired on the 31st May 1938'.
