Born in Nottingham, England, trained at Nottingham School of Art (1900-12) and Royal College of Art, South Kensington (1912-17). Won the Royal College of Art Travelling Scholarship in Sculpture. Appointed to teach modelling at Elam School of Art, Auckland in 1926. Represented in ACAG and in Glasgow Art Gallery.
