Sculptor
Born in Norton, County Durham. She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Wrightson (c.1839-1921), a manufacturer of engineering parts and magistrate whose effects were valued at £212,074 5s. 6d at his death. A statue of 'The Viking landing on the Northumberland Coast', by Wrightson, dating from 1925, stands in the grounds of County Hall, Morpeth. It was formerly at Doxford Hall, the home of Sir Walter Runciman, later Baron Runciman, sailor and shipowner.
