Born in Norwich. Jewson was a close friend and associate of the craftsman and architect, Ernest Gimson (1864-1919). He married Mary, daughter of the designer and architect, (Arthur) Ernest Barnsley (1863-1926). Jewson settled in Gloucestershire in 1907 and died at Sapperton.
