Sculptor
Born at Feluy and died at Forest in Walloon. Rousseau came from a family of stonemasons and began carving at an early age. He studied with Georges Hanstout and then at the Académie Royale des Beaux-arts, Brussels. Between 1890-4 he travelled in Britain, France and Italy. Over the course of a long career he produced many public monuments and statues, also collaborating with a number of architects including Victor Horta.
