Silversmith, jeweller, architect
Born in London. He was a student of the architect, John Dando Sedding. Cooper began silversmithing under the influence of Henry Wilson. Between c.1903-6 he taught at the Central School of Art in Birmingham. After that he moved to Westerham in Kent and established a successful practice, designing and making silver in the arts and crafts tradition. Cooper was an active member of the Art Workers Guild and the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society.
