Sculptor, painter
Born in Malines. Wouters studied sculpture in Malines from 1897 and then at the Académie Royale des Beaux-arts in Brussels from 1900. In addition to sculpting, he was inspired by the work of James Ensor to paint in oils. Wouters died of cancer aged thirty-four in Amsterdam.
