Sculptor, painter
Born in Frederiksberg. Son of the philosopher and sociologist, Carl Starcke (1858-1926). Initially trained as a painter at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts around 1924. However sculpture became his primary medium. Starcke has many public works in Denmark, and is also represented abroad, including at the United Nations building in New York (Woman with Bird, teak, 1968).
