Born in Roulers, Belgium. Studied under Jean-Joseph Jaquet, Charles Van der Stappen, Jef Lambeaux and Julien Dillens. Lived and worked in Italy between (1888-92). Completed many commissions for portraits and monuments. Died in Bruges.
