Sculptor, stone mason
Born in Lumbarda, island of Korcula, Dalmatia. Family were quarrymen and stonemasons. Trained as a stonemason to 1912, then at the College of Arts and Crafts, Horice and Prague Academy of Arts. Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Created state master craftsman in 1948 and given charge of a master craftsman workshop. Lived in Zagreb.
