Born and died in Leeds, Yorkshire. He built up a substantial carving, gilding, house fitting and decorating business. For about twenty years this was run as a partnership between Constantine and William Ingham. This ended in 1852, it is presumed because Constantine retired, and Ingham took over the running of the firm.
