Born in Chelsea, London. He was the son of Gottardo Induni (born c.1862 in Switzerland), sculptor and marble carver. His maternal grandfather was Angelo Castioni (born c.1834-6 in Switzerland), sculptor. His brother, Peter Induni (c.1883-1943, born and died in London), was also a sculptor and marble carver. He died in Hounslow Hospital, Ealing.
