Architectural sculptor, stone carver, sculptor
Born in Lambeth. He was one of the younger sons of Thomas Earp (1828-93), architectural sculptor by his second marriage to Ellen. Edgar's older brother Arthur Clifford Earp was originally in partnership with his father alongside Edwin Hobbs. However Arthur died in 1886, and Edgar Thomas seems to have joined the firm in the early 1890s. It is presumed that he became a partner in his father's successful architectural sculpture business. He may have continued to work for the firm into the 1900s.
