Pietro Lazzerini was a member of a family of sculptors that ran a marble workshop in Carrara over multiple generations (1670-1942). In about 1899 Pietro executed the marble rood screen behind the high altar in the Cathedral of St. Patrick, Armagh, County Armagh, which was designed by William Hague and continued by T.F. McNamara. His brother or cousin was Giuseppe Lazzerini, who exhibited three works at the International Exhibition of Arts and Manufactures, Dublin, in 1865.
