Sculptor
Presume born and died in London. Second son of the sculptor Matthew Cotes Wyatt. He trained in his father's studio and remained there until the death of his father in 1862. James also created some independent works and exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1838, 1843 and 1844. On the death of his father, James inherited a significant sum of money and retired from the business. James's three brothers all trained as architects.
