Born either in the USA or Notting Hill Gate. She attended the Slade under Alphonse Legros and exhibited once at the Royal Academy in 1897. She married William G.B. Ritchie, a civil servant (junior examiner in the Department of Education) and a barrister in 1905. There were at least two children by the marriage and she died in 1911.
