Policy: Art club for artists and amateurs for the study of art, in the form of art classes, discussions and musical and social meetings.
History or description: First president was Pittendrigh Macgillivray, who formed this club out of recognising discontent amoung his peers with The Glasgow Art Club. Other members at this time were Lavery, Henry and Roche.
The Palette Club is attributed to the beginning of the 'Glasgow School' Movement.
