Policy: This national society had it's headquarters in Glasgow. Its object was to hold annual exhibitions of its members. Membership was open to those who taught as art teachers. The society was open to all who were artist teachers, with its object being to maintain a high standard of personal work.
Rules: The right of admission and rejection of new members vested by the council.
Candidates for election proposed and seconded by two members of the society.
History or description: The first exhibition was held in 1911 and the fourth in 1916, an exhibition which gave its proceeds to the Scottish Branch of the Red Cross Society and to the Soldiers' & Sailors' families Association. Members included many staff from the Glasgow School of Art, including Newbery, Ann Macbeth and Greiffenhagen and teachers from other institutions in Scotland.
