Function: Art charity
Policy: To afford relief to distressed deserving artists - whether subscribers to the Fund of the Association or not - their Widows, Orphans, or Dependents.
Founded on the lines of the London Society to provide relief for artists living in Scotland (the Artists' General Benevolent Institution does not support Scottish artists)
Rules: Annual payment of Half-a-Guinea constitutes membership, and a donation of Five Guineas Life Membership.
The President and Council appeal to Artists and those interested in Art to become members
Benefits: advice from fellow members, grants and prizes
Composition: amateur painters, professional artists
