History or description: She was born in Wandsworth c.1836 and was married to Charles Barton (born c.1832 in London) a carver and gilder. Mary Ann has not been traced in the 1891 Census but by 1901 she was described as a 'Carver & Gilder' and an employer working at home (at the address she and her late husband had lived at since at least 1881). Mary Ann had retired by 1911 and died that year.
