Description: A marble version of this work was acquired by William Hesketh Lever, first Lord Leverhulme, and is now in the Lady Lever Art Gallery, National Museums Liverpool. It was later shown at the Royal Academy in 1901 and then at the Paris Salon in 1906. A companion work entitled 'Head of a Baby' was also bought by Lever from an exhibition of British sculpture at Waring and Gillow in 1916 but the location of this is unknown.
