Description: This bust was exhibited in 1888 at the Glasgow International exhibition (cat. no. 1642) and is inscribed F.J. Williamson Sc/ ESHER. It was presented by Lady Blythwood (1930) to the Glasgow Museums collection. The inscription commemorates the occasion on which Archibald Campbell, 1st Lord Blythswood, entertained the Queen at Blythswood when she was on a state visit to Glasgow in 1888.
