Description: 'The pair of Brackets, richly carved in lime wood, and engraved on this page, are the work of Mr Perry, of Taunton, whose productions, especially a vase of flowers, at the Exhibition of 1851, at once made the artist famous. The upper bracket is emblematic of Great Britain; the lower one symbolises our colonial possessions in Asia, Africa, America, and Australia; an example of the produce of each is introduced.'
