Description: One of a pair of bronze reliefs framed in mahogany representing scenes from Homer's 'Illiad'. This work depicts the leader of the Trojan army, Hector, bidding farewell to his wife and son as he leaves to fight the Greek army. There is a plaster sketch for this work in Tate (cat. no. N01783). The pendant relief takes Peace as its subject.
