Description: On the obverse is a relief of the sixth century Welsh poet Taliesin, while on the reverse is a representation of the Welsh dragon. The silver gilt version was the final stage of the medal's production.
Notes: The Eisteddfod organizes festivals of Welsh music, poetry and art every year. This silver gilt medal was commissioned by the National Eisteddfod Association of Wales and has been awarded to prize winners in the annual competitions since 1896.
