Policy: 'Objects, to foster a taste for Art in the neighbourhood by instituting an annual Exhibition, to facilitate the intercourse of those connected with Art, and to promote the practical and theoretical study of Art. Candidates must be proposed in writing by two members. Annual elections in Jan. by ballot; entrance fee £2 2s [...] There is an Art Union in connection. Commission on sales, 5 per cent. Agents - Edinburgh, T. Wilson; Glasgow, Lawrie & Sons; London, Dolman & Sons' (Year's Art, 1887, p. 110).
