Policy: 'At the branch galleries, Heaton Hall, a summer exhibition was held in 1907 of Oil Paintings and Water-colour Drawings by members and associates of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, Casts, Cloisonné Enamels, a selection of early English Furniture, and a collection illustrative of "Old Manchester and Salford." The regulations for exhibitors are the usual ones. Commission on sales, 5 per cent. London agents: Messrs. Dicksee & Co., 7, Duke Street, St. James's, S.W. All letters respecting the Exhibition are to be addressed to Mr. William Stanfield, Curator, the City Art Gallery, Manchester.
The sum of £2,000 per annum, with the net profits arising from exhibitions, is available for purchase of works of Art for the permanent collection' (Year's Art, 1908, pp. 205-6).
