Description: 'The present Exhibition, held by the kind permission of the Art Gallery Committee in the City Art Gallery, comprises work executed by the students of the Municipal School of Art mainly during the session 1910-11 [...] Much of the work is of necessity tentative and experimental, since every reasonable opportunity is given to the students to enable them to cultivate and give expression to their own individuality, whilst other examples indicate the means whereby is ensured a sound, systematic, progressive training in the principles and practice of Art' (Catalogue, p. 3).
Policy: 'It is arranged with the object of bringing before the public the nature, variety, and the extent of the facilities offered by the School for the study of Drawing, Painting, Modelling, and Design' (Catalogue, p. 3).
