Description: 'Recitals of music are given in the Central Court twice a week during the special exhibitions, and prove a great attraction. The upper floor, in which the special exhibitions are held, consists of five extensive rooms, and a couple of balconies overlooking the Central Court. The galleries are all lighted from the roof, and at night by electricity. Since the opening there have been five Artists' Exhibitions, two exhibitions of works on loan, two "Arts and Crafts" Exhibitions, an International Photographic Exhibition, and an exhibition of Black and White.
