Policy: Set up to promote the industrial arts in Britain. The committee composed of representatives of the RSA, the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society, the Design and Industries Association, and the LCC consultative committees on silversmithing and allied trades. In the same year, the Board of Trade and the Board of Education established a British Institute of Industrial Art.
