Description: Organised by the London County Council, in collaboration with the Arts Council.
Charles Wheeler, President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, served on the organising committee. A number of members of the Society also exhibited works in the show. The RBS 'Annual Report, 1948', (1949), records that 146,000 people visited the exhibition.
