Description: 'The work includes:
- Exercises from existing examples as samplers, and from original designs- The study of the materials of the craft: their nature, qualities and possibilities
- Tools and appliances: their preparation and use. The various methods of enamelling and the procedure to be adopted in each case, both in the preparation of the design and the progress of the practical work. Enamelling in conjunction with other materials. Light metal work in conjunction with enamelling' (1914-1915 Prospectus, p. 370).
Policy: 'Conditions of Entry:
- This class is open to all persons whether taking the Normal Courses or not. Whilst only one attendance a week is stipulated for, it is desirable that students of Enamelling, Metalwork and Jewellery should follow up an extended course of drawing and design if they are to attain to a high standard of achievement' (1914-1915 Prospectus, p. 370).
