Description: Entitled 'The Prote's Progress'. Conceived by L. Walker and elaborated by Braddell, Jarrett, Paget and H. Smith, produced by Minton Taylor. Aumonier acted as Hon. Secretary and general manager. Bayes, Hamilton Smith, Nelson, Gossop, Austin, Mackeson, Wilson, Glover, Paget, Bentham, L. Walker, Wedgwood, C. Thomas, Aitken, Braddell, de Poix, St Leger and Milton Taylor performed in the play. A. Waters, R. Richardson and W. Whitworth Aumonier also helped. 'The 1929 Revels were acclaimed a triumph for all concerned thanks to a good scenario, telling scenes, decorative settings and fine acting' (AWG annual report, 1929, p. 4).
