Description: A. W. Lawrence presided, in the absence of Troup. J. Wilson, Superintendent of Works and deputy keeper of Westminster Hall introduced the subject by speaking of the wall paintings in the Palace of Westminster. J. D. Batten, P. Tudor-Hart, F. E. Jackson, R. W. S. Weir and M. J. Dawson continued the discussion. A. H. Smith spoke after the interval on recent examples of sculpture reparation, and explained, with the aid of slides, something of what he does in reparation, and upon what grounds. This aspect of the subject was further discussed by E. J. Sullivan, E. At. Gardner, Litt.D, while Tudor-Hart and Weir asked questions (AWG Annual Report, 1923, p. 6).
Policy: 'Meetings are held fortnightly, when papers are read and their subjects illustrated as fully as possible. Visitors must be introduced by a member' (Year's Art, 1913, pp. 169-70).
