Description: Slides arranged by A. H. Smith were shown, 'illustrating the scroll from 500 BC to modern times'. His notes were read by Weir. L. Walker, L. A. Turner and D. Cockerell took part in discussion. After interval, J. F. Green spoke about Robert Steele, whose paper 'The Historical Aspect of English Craft Guilds' was read by J. Leighton. Weir, Hartrick, Cockerell, Sullivart, Strange ('who spoke on "knockers"'), L. A. Turner and Armitage took part in ensuing discussion (AWG Annual Report for 1923, p. 5).
Policy: 'Meetings are held fortnightly, when papers are read and their subjects illustrated as fully as possible. Visitors must be introduced by a member' (Year's Art, 1913, pp. 169-70).
