Description: 'Professor Gardner spoke as to the technique of Greek sculpture, and a paper was contributed by W. Goscombe John, A.R.A.' (AWG annual report, 1899, p. 5).
Policy: 'Meetings are held fortnightly, when papers are read and their subjects illustrated as fully as possible. The meetings are not open to the public. Candidates for election must be personally known to proposer and seconder, and be bona-fide workers in some art or craft' (Year's Art, 1899, p. 157).
