Description: Lecture given at an ordinary meeting of the AWG. Included a demonstration and an exhibition of silver-gilt ware lent by the Goldsmith's Company. Start time 8pm.
Policy: 'Meetings are held fortnightly, when papers are read and their subjects illustrated as fully as possible. Members limited to 150. Candidates for election must be personally known to proposer and seconder, and be bona-fide workers in some art or craft' (Year's Art, 1890, p. 90).
