Description: Discussion started at ordinary meeting of the Art Worker's Guild on 6 May 1887, where Lethaby, Belcher, Somers Clarke and Thornycroft read papers; did not conclude and so continued on next off-meeting (20 May 1887), where Ford, Sedding, Pinker and Spence read papers.
Policy: 'Meetings are held fortnightly, when papers are read and their subjects illustrated as fully as possible. Members limited to 150. Candidates for election must be personally known to proposer and seconder, and be bona-fide workers in some art or craft' (Year's Art, 1890, p. 90).
