Start Date: 31 July 1948
End Date: 7 August 1948
Type: Exhibition
Policy: Foreword:
'In planning the Arts and Crafts Exhibition of the 1948 National Eisteddfod, the committee had certain clearly defined aims.
We desired to give the Exhibition a standard which would be recognised as comparable, culturally, with other and older activities associated with our National Festival...
Our desire, we trust, has been largely attained. The character and variety of the works submitted for competition on the one hand, and the outstanding exhibitions sponsored by the various national bodies and institutions on the other, justify this claim.'
