Description: An exhibition of 199 works exhibited at the National Museum of Wales, predominantly oil paintings and works on paper by a number of artists serving in the allied forces during the Second World War. Organised by the British Council with the Co-operation of the Council for the Encouragement of Music and the Arts.
Work by American artists were excluded. 'Examples of the Art of China and Russia have been included, but, owing to present conditions, it is regretted that full justice has not been done to the art of these countries.'
