Description: 122 works by modern Yugoslav artists, including 20 sculptures.
'Mestrovic and Rosandic.
This is one reflection on viewing the fascinating collection at the Glynn Vivian, the rest is all wonder and admiration at the work of Mestrovic, and joy at the thought of the lovely wood figures of Rosandic and Palavicini, whose 'innocence' is one of the most beautiful things there.
Mestrovic is the one name know to everyone, and he towers as a giant over the whole exhibition as his mighty bust of Michelangelo should be made to look down on it, and his bronze of the Poet Marulic has the same masterfulness' (unidentified newspaper cutting).
